This is the place to start your Trigger Point Course.

One of the questions I get asked a lot is ‘how do I find ALL my trigger points?’ or ‘how do I know what trigger points are causing my pain?’

So I’ve put together this method that will help you with just that problem. Watch the video below, and follow the instructions.

Get the Flash Player to see this content.

Download the trigger point mapper. To complete the steps below, you’ll need to print it out. (Right click and select ‘save as’ to download this to your computer.)

Head over to the Trigger Point Finder to map your triggers. (Alternately, download your Trigger Point Charts now.)

List the trigger points that might be causing your muscle pain.

Watch the video on How to Find Trigger Points.

Carefully locate where you have active triggers, and record them on your trigger map.

Now you have a record of where your active triggers are. Find the videos relating to these triggers using the Muscle Index, watch the videos, and switch them off.

As you successfully switch off some triggers, you may find that other trigger points are hidden beneath them. Successfully treating trigger points requires patience and care, but it certainly can be done. And the first important step is to know where your triggers are, and how to switch them off.

All the best,
Jonathan

PS>I’m always looking to improve this course, so feel free to contact me if you have suggestions.

Hi, I have had a question for quite a while and don’t seem to get an answer anywhere:
How to recognize if the pain comes from a trigger point or from a congested acupressure point? I understand one causes referred pain (trigger) and the other doesn’t but are there other ways to differentiate? These points can be on similar areas (ie Trapezius triger points and acupressure Gall Bladder 21 etc)
Many thanks for your help
Christine

Hi Jonathan
I would just like to express how much I am enjoying your Trigger Point course.
The dvd on the course is sooo good, although the dvds did have a few problems with the sound.
I e-mailed the maker who sent another set of dvds, but they were worse than the first.
I will just settle with the original dvds as I can still learn from them but a little annoying with your voice out of sinc and breaking up.
I love the whole course, especially the info on Myofascial Release I find it very effective.
I am a Masseuse so I always have tight neck and upper traps.I recently did one on one with a qualified Pilates instructor and found that so helpful.
I also enjoy your relaxed gentle style and also how you include the mind and how important it is in our over all healing.
Thank you Jonathan
Kind regards Helen

Hello Helen,

I’ll see what I can do to get your dvd’s sorted out right away – this is the first time we’ve had a problem with them, so I’ll talk to the manufacturers and see what we can do for you.

Jonathan, awhile back you sent out some charts of men and women that can be coloured and with a guide find the triggerpoints associated to them. I thought it was in my file, and it isn’t, could you please send me that email again please.
